Reed's research has found evidence of a pharaoh in ancient Egypt whose blindness was cured. Hoping to find a cure for Alicia, the FF use the time machine Doom had in issue #5 to head back to this period of ancient Egypt in search of that cure. Once there, they are captured and enslaved by the pharaoh Rama-Tut, who reveals that he is actually from the future, and has come back to the past to rule. Due to an unexpected switch from the Thing back to Ben Grimm, they are able to escape, though Rama-Tut avoids capture. They find the herb that may restore Alicia's sight, but it does not return to the future with them.
