This is a rare pewter sculpture of a 1953 Corvette by Raymond Meyers.  It was endorsed by the Sports Car Club of America and sold by the Franklin Mint in the late 1970's.  Although its base measures about 7" long, it is made of solid pewter and weighs almost three pounds.  Overall, this sculpture is still in Good vintage condition but the top rail of the imaginary windshield has been broken off and should be noted.  This was a very common problem with this model, as that rail was just a thin band of pewter which was extremely delicate. This is a rare pewter sculpture of a 1953 Corvette by Raymond Meyers.  It was endorsed by the Sports Car Club of America and sold by the Franklin Mint in the late 1970's.
