WW1 Victory medal to 19793 Pte. G(eorge) Dykes, (8th Battalion) South Lancashire Rgt.

George Dykes was born in October 1891 in Silverdale, Staffordshire.  He enlisted on 17th July 1915.

He was discharged on 26th July 1917 and was entitled to a Silver Wound Badge (whereabouts unknown).   

He died in 1940 aged 60, having been listed as “disabled” following the war.

This medal comes with the research shown, hence the price.
