COMPLETE UNCOLLECTED SHORT STORIES OF J. D. SALINGER, volumes 1 and 2 (two-book set). This is the original pirate edition of 22 short stories that Salinger wrote and published in magazines but never collected into an authorized collection. In 1973 they were anonymously printed with a brief, unsigned forward (also anonymous). Salinger successfully sued to stop their distribution, but not until a few thousand copies had been sold … and this is one of them! 196 pages total, including 2-page chronology. Paperback. Very good condition, NOT mint: some foxing on the covers, and both volumes have a tiny first-owner’s initials on the inside front cover and a slightly larger but still small second-owner’s name on the fly-leaf. Sold only as a set.
