Union Sky Blue Civil War Trousers - Federal Uniform Pants - Size 44/46

At the start of the Civil War, regulations called for enlisted men from volunteer regiments to wear sky blue trousers while their officers would wear trousers of dark blue. It did not take long for Confederates to be figure out that officers could be easily distinguished at a distance by their all dark blue uniforms. Eventually, in order to prevent Rebel sharpshooters targeting Union officers, the regulations were changed to allow for the wearing of sky blue trousers by men of all ranks.

Our sky blue trousers are suitable for enlisted and officers alike. The legs are left approximately 35 inches long and can be hemmed/trimmed to desired length. There is a gusset in the waist for allow for sizing adjustments.
