CLOCK TOWER is an action-horror adventure game released in Japan by a Japanese game developer-publisher Human Entertainment on September 14, 1995 for the Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) and was ported over to PlayStation in 1997 (entitled "Clock Tower: The First Fear"), after its sequel "CLOCK TOWER 2 (Second)" was released in the previous year as the first PlayStation Clock Tower game.
CT1 ("CLOCK TOWER: The First Fear")
was not released outside of Japan. CT2 was released as first installment of the franchise there, and "Clock Tower:
Ghost Head" -- which was released in Japan as a spin-off -- was released as "Clock Tower II: The Struggle Within". CT3 was co-developed by Capcom and Sunsoft after the original developer Human Entertainment went bankrupt.
