Fernando Alonso Jaén is an independent luthier based in Cuenca, Spain, a beautiful city just southeast of Madrid. Jaén builds both traditional guitars (mostly semi-hollow and hollowbody archtops) as well as unusual designs. If you've never played a Fernando Jaén guitar before, you're in for a life-changing experience. This is what a jazz guitar is meant to be!

For this 17" archtop guitar, Jaén used hand-carved figured maple finished in a beautiful Amber Burst finish. The guitar is also equipped with unique and cleverly designed details. The beautifully shaped sound holes immediately catch the eye, while the neck is subtly decorated with details of abalone and mother of pearl. Furthermore, Jaén has lavishly provided the guitar with ebony; the pickguard, bridge, pickup ring, fingerboard, headstock, heel, tuner buttons and tailpiece are all made of this dark wood!
