On offer a rare, authentic 1800s Victorian-era large solid brass wall mounted coat / hat rack, circa mid-1800s we believe. This stylized early form was very desireable in fashionable &/or wealthy homes & hung within large foyers, grand entryways, library's & dens, even bedrooms .. wherever organization was needed.  Today, this would be an ideal, handsome ecclectic addition to a mudroom, any entryway, vacation home, mountain cabin, or even a commercial enterprise, i.e., salon, restaurant, boutique, etc.  Welcome your guests in beautiful utiliterian style. 

Quality Construction, Fab Design

Fine display w/handsome architectural embellishments: ornate textured spine, acorn finials, top wreath, in addition to the four ball capped graceful, long arms. 

 Quality design construction; very sturdy & strong, having survived so long completely intact & original, with four long arms designed for supporting heavy outerwear, i.e., coats. It's old fashioned quality construction is obvious .. see detailed photos. Entire wall piece has a highly desirable naturally aged patina, similar to a matte finish .. not shiny or new looking as seen on reproductions.

Condition is excellent. For same of complete disclosure after careful inspection, we detected the faintest, most superficial 1/4" diameter depression to bottom round ball. You have to hunt to find it; very obscure & in no way detracts from beauty.  Otherwise, no dings, dents, warping nor past repair anywhere else; no abuse. No cleaning needed nor recommended; the finely aged patina adds to value, charm & highly coveted by interior designers .. beautiful & ready to instantly hang, wall mount.  A lrg picture hook (stud mounted) recommended to secure your investment, i.e., slip open wreath onto hook.
