You are buying a remade rubber ring as fitted to the shank of the Ford Jack that was used on many Ford cars in the late 60s and early 70s, they often got crushed and split the very first time the jack was used to change a flat wheel. These jacks were used in the Mk1 and Mk2 Escorts, Cortinas, Capris and probably even earlier cars like the Corsair and the Anglia etc.
