Offered is a nicely painted late Victorian cast iron clock case, that I've used as a doorstop for decades. It's mid century paint over it's original nickel plated surface, which could be restored if you so desire. I like it the way it is! Think the woman represented is a lady of the evening due to her suggestive pose, which would have been provocative in that era. Definitely intended for the gentleman's parlor. The back is painted gold. It measures about 12" high X 9 1/2" at it's widest point, & 2 1/2" deep. This piece is iron, & not spelter, as most clock cases, and examples I see of this piece are. It was nickel plated, not bronzed. The iron versions were more costly. It weighs in at 4#.

I've been buying & selling here for over 20 years. Most of my items have been off the market, from estates, or in collections for decades. They are guaranteed to be, "as described", and are often OOAK, especially as far as availability on eBay.
