Purchased from an estate sale. Hand carved wooden box with various scenes. The carvings are beautiful. Rich in detail. The craftsmanship is nice. The box is held together really well. No damage to the box in terms of breaking cracks or holes.  the box is missing an original clasp on the front for sealing  box. The lid does sit slightly raised when the lid is closed. The hardware looks good it functions properly. The box has a patina to it, adding a little bit of character and richness to the wood. The carvings are fairly deep with intricate lines. Raised edges, beautiful mountains, clouds and flowers along with depictions of people and possibly a temple or harbor. The art style looks to be oriental. The inside is pretty clean no stains or pen marks it's  A little bit of dust. The box measures 10 inches long 5.5 in wide 5.5 in high and 3.5 in deep . The box has not been thoroughly cleaned since purchased.
