A brand-new Japanese sealed SACD (single-layer) copy of a 1977 recording of Mahler Symphony No. 1, conducted by Seiji Ozawa and performed by the Boston Symphony Orchestra.  This is his first recording of the piece, recorded in 1977. He later re-recorded it with the BSO in 1987 and with the Saito Kinen Orchestra (live recording) in 2008, but "Blumine" which was originally conceived as the second movement but later deleted by the composer is included only in this recording.  This SACD (single-layer) plays only on a SACD player, as opposed to a “hybrid” SACD which plays on both regular CD and SACD players.

[TRACKS]
I: Langsam. Schleppend
II: "Blumine". Andante allegretto
III: Kraftig bewegt
IV: Feierlich und gemessen, ohne zu schleppen
