Am 15. August 1991 fand in Suhl die Grundsteinlegung für ein bemerkenswertes Joint Venture zwischen den deutsch-deutschen Firmen PILZ und robotron statt. Dieses historische Ereignis markierte eine Zusammenarbeit, die über die politischen Grenzen hinwegging.

Diese CD wurde als Sonderauflage gefertigt und den Besuchern und Teilnehmern der Veranstaltung als Präsent überreicht.

Die beteiligte Unternehmen, das Kombinat Robotron, der größte Computerhersteller der DDR, war einer der bedeutenden Produzenten von Informationstechnologie im RGW (Rat für gegenseitige Wirtschaftshilfe) und die Firma PILZ mit Sitz in Kranzberg bei München waren an diesem Joint Venture beteiligt. Projektziel: Das gemeinsame Projekt sah den Bau eines Produktionswerkes für Compact Discs (CDs) vor. Die Anlage sollte voraussichtlich Ende 1991 die Produktion aufnehmen und rund 250 Mitarbeiter beschäftigen. Neben der CD-Produktion entstand auch die größte Boxen- und Trays-Fertigung zur Verpackung von CDs in Europa. Die Finanzierung wurde mit Vertretern der Dresdner Bank beraten. Die Investition sollte über weltweite Exporte refinanziert werden.

Dieses Joint Venture zwischen PILZ und robotron war ein bemerkenswertes Beispiel für die Zusammenarbeit zwischen Unternehmen aus Ost- und Westdeutschland zu einer Zeit des politischen Wandels. Es zeigt, wie Musik als kulturelles Bindeglied in solchen historischen Momenten fungieren kann.

On August 15, 1991, the foundation stone was laid in Suhl for a remarkable joint venture between the German-German companies PILZ and robotron. This historic event marked a collaboration that transcended political boundaries.

This CD was produced as a special edition and presented to the visitors and participants of the event as a gift.

The companies involved in this joint venture were Kombinat Robotron, the largest computer manufacturer in the GDR and one of the most important producers of information technology in the CMEA (Council for Mutual Economic Assistance), and PILZ, based in Kranzberg near Munich. Project objective: The joint project provided for the construction of a production plant for compact disks (CDs). The plant was expected to start production at the end of 1991 and employ around 250 people. In addition to CD production, the largest box and tray production facility for packaging CDs in Europe was also built. The financing was discussed with representatives of Dresdner Bank. The investment was to be refinanced through worldwide exports.
This joint venture between PILZ and robotron was a remarkable example of cooperation between companies from East and West Germany at a time of political change. It shows how music can act as a cultural link in such historical moments.
