The main problems and solutions

1:Can't find the adapter for Bluetooth or WiFi?

If convenient, you can use another iPhone to test. If only a specific iPhone cannot find the adapter's Bluetooth or WiFi, try resetting the network and Bluetooth settings on this iPhone and then restarting the phone once; if the same problem occurs on another iPhone, the device may be defective. In this case, please let us know and we will give you an exchange.

2:Audio input or output problems: call rejected or diverted to voicemail / no sound playing / microphone not working / music playback interrupted or paused / abnormal voice function...

1). Please check your phone's Bluetooth to see if it is connected to another device. If so, ignore other Bluetooth devices that are automatically connected or simply turn off Bluetooth.

2). Clear any programs running in the background on your phone when using the dongle.

* Note: Bluetooth plays a pairing role in the work of the adapter. After pairing is complete, only wifi is needed to continue working, so it is okay to turn off Bluetooth. But the next time you use it, you still need to turn on Bluetooth and let the adapter pair and connect automatically.

3:Continuous disconnection problems

The adapter relies on the WiFi connection to the phone to work. Disconnection is usually caused by wifi interference. Do you have any other wifi devices in your car, such as a car camera with wifi capability? If so, you may need to ignore other wifi networks when using the adapter. You can also improve this problem by resetting the mobile WLAN network. It is also worth trying to update the firmware of the adapter.

4:Problem with automatic reconnection

1). In some cars, we need to select "Auto Connect" in the CarPlay settings in order to use the adapter's auto-connect feature.

2). In other cases

A. Make sure your phone's Bluetooth and WiFi functions are turned on and Bluetooth is not occupied when you get into the car;

B. Clear the pairing record, restart the phone and re-pair the adapter.

3). Try to upgrade the firmware.

Password and Firmware Update

Plug the wireless carplay adapter into the socket for firmware upgrade( Not car's usb port).

Connect your iPhone's WiFi which is name" smartDongle-FC0C", the WiFi password is "88 888 888"

Open Safari and enter "192.168.1.101", then click "Update".

Accessing the IP page, update the firmware online from your iPhone. (During the update, the signal light will flash and normal when successfully.)

After the upgrade is complete, please reboot your phone before using the dongle.

If the update fails, please turn off your phone's Bluetooth, then turn off-restart the wifi and finally re-enter your wifi password to connect to the dongle wifi and perform the update.

If the CarPlay adapter works properly, do not upgrade the firmware, the original version is the most suitable for your car.
