The necklace is in excellent antique condition, it is made from cultured saltwater pearls (possibly South Sea pearls?), they are baroque shaped, lustrous and of a beautiful creamy, pale gold colour; their size is from 7.2 mm to 9.8 mm. The pearls are gorgeous, they seem to glow from within.

The clasp is absolutely stunning, made of gilt (gold plated) metal, no hallmarks, covered in faceted garnet stones of a beautiful, deep red.
