* Special Note:  The Brodt's Hat Factory that was located at 423 11th St. NW. had made and sold their own quality hats as well as selling other name brands out of the stores for decades. Many predominant DC residents and well-known politicians owned a Brodt hat. The hats were made solely at the 11th St. location and then sold at both. The second store was located at 733 14th St. NW.
