These are a set of very old, antique German made felt dolls. Included are Mrs. Rabbit, Peter Rabbit, Flopsy, Mopsy, and Cottontail from the Beatrix Potter Story, The Tale of Peter Rabbit, originally written in 1893.

This adorable set was in my house all while growing up in the 1960s.

The rabbits can stand on their own and their arms and legs are poseable.

Peter Rabbit has his little blue waistcoat on just like in the Beatrix Potter book. Mama Rabbit has on a beautiful apron and a cute, little removable carry sack on her back.

They are in *fair* condition and do have some flaws due to their age. Please see the photos. They are dirty in some spots and there are some holes in the felt on their bodies and clothes. The bloomers on the rabbit in yellow are dirty. As for the blue skirt on Mrs Rabbit, the color has faded over time. I did not attempt to clean any of the rabbits or their clothes.

The tallest Mrs. Rabbit is 6 1/2 inches tall. They are great for an Easter or Spring display. My Mother would have them hanging on to the edge and peeking out of a small Easter basket. Sometimes she would have Mrs. Rabbit holding one of her children in her arms.

Please see all of the photos and thank you for taking a look.
