Although the charge port does not always work, this device is still functional and can be charged with patience. It works great except the charge port. This Kindle Fire is part of the Amazon Kindle series and is a first-generation model. It has a 7" screen size and is classified as an eBook reader.  Despite the charging issue, this Kindle Fire is still a valuable device for those in need of replacement parts or for those who enjoy tinkering with electronics or patience to get the charge port to work.  I can get it to work by playing around with the cord at the port. Charge cord is not included. I use a generic charge cord.
