This stencil is in good condition for its age. Edges are worn from use and storage. Front is lightly inked with signs of brush strokes mostly around the outer edges of the inked area. There are vertical lines rubbing/scratching through the ink which I believe is from pulling in and out of the storage box. All the stencil lettering is intact and easy to read. I have highlighted the right edge of the stencil where the number 1680 was punched on the backside (so from the front it is inverted) but the stencil maker realized his mistake and patched over it. On the back is the handwritten date 5/23/34 (written upside down) and the number 1680 which is bold in ink (and I believe this is the store number).

Answers to Questions We get on These:

1) Material is a Sturdy Oil Board. 

2) There is an inky scent to some of the heavier used stencils. If you are sensitive to some smells, please keep this in mind. 

3) There is only one of each location. Winner will be the only person to own the stencil for that address.

4) Dimensions seem to be an average of 5 inches x 16 inches. Please see photo for the exact dimensions of each individual stencil.

Summary: I just acquired 2 large long file, wooden boxes of address stencils, seemingly every F W Woolworth address and lots of other local department stores and Five & Dimes from USA and Canada locations. From a factory in Pennsylvania.
The seller said it was from a cast iron toy manufacturer, and it was confirmed that the stencils came from The Dent Hardware Co. in Fullerton, PA.
Use to create multiple of your own local collectibles, or would look great framed, in a collection which we have an example of in the pictures. Some of our buyers use them for woodworking projects or unique gifts. The possibilities are endless.
