Here's an interesting 19th C. hand forged Hoe Head. The blade measures 6" across x 3" tall, the handle extends about 7" from the scraper blade". The handle is attached to the blade with 3 pins and has a swan neck running down to a pointed handle end. The handle is very primitively pounded into a square form with small barbs to hold it in a wood handle. It has a pleasing patina from age and use and is quite heavy! From a Lancaster County PA estate. A great piece for any primitive garden lover's collection! Ships by USPS Ground Advantage.
