Proper Use
Check that the dipstick is most correct when stationary:
(1) after one night or half an hour's stop, the oil dipstick must be checked for the correct oil level position. The oil dipstick cannot be checked for one side, but for both sides, the less side shall prevail. If it is not sure, it can be cleaned and then checked again. Sometimes, only one side will cause a false image because the oil on the pipe wall is attached to the dipstick.
(2) under normal conditions, it is also not allowed to relax. Check the dipstick once or twice a day.
(3) under abnormal conditions, including the reduction of engine sealing performance, the increase of oil loss or the situation of internal leakage and external leakage, and the failure has not been handled, it is more important to check frequently. If it is missing, it is necessary to add it. The oil in the engine can not be as careless as the blood of human body.
(4) in case of failure, check the dipstick even more, for example, after internal damage, etc., check the dipstick in time.
(5) when looking at the oil dipstick, we should not only look at the quantity, but also pay attention to the change of quality.
(6) be alert to the failure of the dipstick: the most common failure is the dipstick sinking and the dipstick rising. Sinking: due to the damage or wear of the upper limit of the oil dipstick, if the oil dipstick is not repaired in time, it will reach the scale line without adding enough oil, which will cause a kind of false image and accident easily; raising: some models of oil dipstick poke tube can be removed, but not installed in place, it will make the oil dipstick rise, which will cause more oil to be added, in a word, more attention should be paid.
