  • My Condition Grading: Please be aware this is only a guide and I've tried my best to be as informative, detailed and clear about my condition procedure as possible.
  • Excellent (This is the top grade and there will not be many and only rolled posters at this condition grade, so no folded posters at all at this grade no matter how good the condition is and rolled posters at this condition will have to have very, very minor imperfections)
  • Very Good (This is the top grade for folded posters and a poster that may have minor faults such as edge/corner wear, creasing, scuffs, marks along the edges which do not intrude much distance into the design and minor handling associated marks upon the poster surface, for folded posters this will also include mild fold lines and minimal writing to the back of the poster etc.)
  • Good to very good (A very large proportion of my posters will be in this grade both rolled and folded posters, this will include mild faults, there may be a little more edge/corner wear, creasing, scuffs, marks along the edges may extend a little further into the poster than the previous condition, there may also be a couple of extremely small edge knicks which may extend up to a "cm" into the poster, for folded posters this may included slightly heavier folding/lines, more writing on the back of the poster than the previous condition and with older/vintage posters there maybe some mild foxing/discolouration of the paper surface to the very extreme edges and on the back of the poster, there maybe tiny middle/central fold line holes/separations which most probably will not picked up in a close-up photo and pinholes which don't intrude the look of the poster too much etc.)
  • Good condition (A poster that will have faults including knicks/tears up to an inch into the poster, edge/corner wear, creasing, scuffs, marks along the edges, pinholes to corners, there may be handling error associated marks upon the poster surface which you may expect from a cinema poster that was once displayed including on the back of the poster, for folded posters this may include foxing/discolouration of the poster surface, staining, spots, residue, small tape repairs or still present on the poster front and back, middle/central fold line holes/separations, slight mis-alignment of the fold lines and general old fashioned wear of a used poster etc but quite a large proportion of posters described in this condition will be closer to the condition above rather than the condition below.)
  • Reasonable to Good condition (A poster similar to the above condition but with more of that particular issue and there maybe for example something like a small corner loss or may be more tape present in several areas or more obvious than the previous condition above etc and as in the condition description above a larger proportion of the posters decribed in this condition will be closer to the condition above rather than the condition below.)
  • Reasonable (A poster which may have multiple issues but for an old/vintage poster for example might still have appeal to someone who wants a specific vintage interior design in mind, prop use, collage ideas etc and bear in mind if a poster is listed in the condition that the poster will not be completely wrecked, modern posters for example may still look good framed and older/vintage posters may be worth linen backing for example, but some posters in this condition will most probably not necessarily suit serious collectors or dealers etc and as in the condition description above a larger proportion of the posters decribed in this condition will be closer to the condition above rather than the condition below.)
  • Poor to Reasonable (Multiple issues but some posters particularly older/vintage posters may still have appeal because of the rarity, use for props, a specific interior design theme etc and as in the condition description above a larger proportion of the posters decribed in this condition will be closer to the condition above.)

I have collected Cinema/Film and Theatre posters for many years which I have mainly acquired from reputable auction houses across the UK and other private sellers. I am now looking to sell a large part of this collection due to downsizing.
My collection consists of posters and memorabilia ranging from the 1950s til the present day including UK quads, US one sheets, Australian Daybills and Lobby cards etc. I will be listing these gradually over the coming months so please keep checking for new items.
