Another from Rob's private collection. This is described by Rob as a high-strung guitar. It uses string gauges as shown in the photo's.
The neck and sides are made of 2 pieces of solid mahogany. Rob added a birch ply top and back and fitted a slotted bridge.
The sound is very distinctive and is best described as the sound of the thin strings on a 12 string guitar. It is bright, very clear and very evenly balanced. The volume is also worth noting, as with all Rob's instruments:   this is no different.
Lovely workmanship and simple flowing lines... unusual yes, but still a great example of his skills.
