OGOPOGO - Kelowna's Lake Monster - "P" value FIRST DAY COVER. LAST & FINAL OGO picture postage issue.
In late July 2022 Canada Post announced, with SIX WEEKS notice, the cancellation of its PICTURE POSTAGE stamp program.
++++ This will be Canada's last OGOPOGO stamp AND there won't be any reprints possible. ++++
After August 31 2022 Canada Post will be not print any NEW or REPRINTS of ANY PICTURE POSTAGE stamps.
The First Ogopogo stamp was released by Canada Post on Oct. 1, 1990. Canada Post printed our first Ogopogo Design in 2012. Since then there have been several issues including the addition of Baby Ogie, and the popular COVID issues (The family wearing facemasks).
For this our FINAL issue, there will be 4 different stamps, 'P', $1.30, $2.71 and the 'P' value of Mama Ogo with Baby Ogie. In addition there will be 4 different FDC's of our final issue.
Canada Post (Picture Postage) printed a small number of commemoratives and only a very small portion were used to create First Day Covers.
ALL Four Ogopogo stamps will be listed in the CPPC (Canadian Picture Postage Collectors Catalogue- picturepostage - net). 'Check the catalogue for any issues you are missing - and look for our Ebay listings.
NB - Display of the First Day Covers with $1.30, $2.71, set of 4 stamps and MNH values of $1.30, $2.71 and the Ogo and Baby Ogie stamp and magazine scans are to provide greater detail and background information - they are NOT part of the listing- your PURCHASE is the FIRST DAY COVER of the "P" value of the August 2022 Ogopogo stamp (ONLY).
