RARE PAIR ART NOUVEAU STEVENS WILLIAMS WRYTHEN ENAMELLED CASED BLOWN GLASS VASES 6”

This is a rare pair of antique art nouveau vases made by the renowned glassmakers Stevens & Williams. The vases are made of blown peach coloured glass cased in clear glass and feature a unique wrythen design with enamel detailing with gilding of forget-me-not flowers, typical of the art nouveau romantic times….Downton Abbey..esque….. They have beautifully polished pontil marks. They were crafted in Stourbridge, England between 1850 and 1899, making them over a century and a quarter old

The vases are in their original, authentic condition and are a true example of a bygone era of art and craftsmanship. They are a perfect addition to any antique collection or as standalone decorative pieces. These vases are a testament to the skill and artistry of Stevens & Williams, a name that has become synonymous with excellence in glassmaking.

MEASUREMENTS: Height 6” x 4” at widest point.

CONDITION: They are both individually hand blown and decorated so they are not identical. One is a bit more frilly than the other but amazingly there are no chips or damage that I have found. If anything the colour is more dusky than the photos show. I will take more photos in daylight asap. In fact the last photo of a comparison vase is more the colouring.
