.For sale I have an antique jewellery box made around 1900.
It is rectangular in shape and is covered in a dark green, faux leather and has a brass escutcheon, hinges and lock.
The interior linings have been replaced with two tone aqua green silk and dark green velvet.
The outside of the box was very badly faded so has been cleaned and treated with a green dye, as near to the original as possible.
The base is also its original faux leather re tinted. The handle to the lid is also in faux leather and is the original
It has its original lock and replacement key which works and has been cleaned. (as with all these boxes the new owner needs to treat the lock with care!) The key is rather long but works fine.
Dimensions are: 18cm long x 12cm deep and 8cm high.
Condition is very good with sympathetic restoration and preservation of as much of its originality as possible.
