Welcome to the sale of this extremely rare Mamod TE1 dating from 1963/1964. This engine is a change over model version and sits between the smooth canopy type of 1963 and the later 1965 versions of the TE1.

This engine comes with a square front axle, the rare bent steering rod and also comes with the ribbed canopy, however with the screws in the side and not crimped, it also has the original type decals and not the later red type.

I’m currently thinning out my collection and I won’t have time to restore this engine, however it’s really in  quite good condition anyway and I see no reason why it wouldn’t fire straight up. It did have a broken canopy support but I’ve included a replacement and will also include the correct copper rivets to attach.

I cant stress how rare this version is of the TE1 is, I’ve never seen another like it so grab it while you can.

Lots of smooth canopy engines out there but find me another like this and I’d be impressed.

No silly offers or I’ll just pop it back in the cupboard.

Any questions please ask
