Notes

Continuity Notes

Zuras recounts the origins of the Eternals and Deviants, this was all explained in Eternals #1.

Thena mentions that when the Eternals form the Uni-Mind they usually decide to leave Earth for the stars only to come back to Earth when they miss their home. This is a reference to the events of Avengers #246–248, when a Uni-Mind composed of most of the Eternals left Earth. However, although Ajak had been shown to be back in Eternals: The Herod Factor #1 and the rest were mentioned as being on Earth in Eternals (Vol. 3) #7, it was revealed in Thor: The Deviants Saga #2 that they had not actually chosen to return. Instead, it had been Sprite's use of the Dreaming Celestial's power to rewrite reality and transform all Eternals into humans that had also affected those Eternals who had been out in space, causing them to be returned to Earth so that they could also be trapped in human form alongside those Eternals who had never left. After the restoration of their true selves, all of the Eternals except Virako and Phastos (and the then-deceased Sprite) had formed another Uni-Mind and left on a mission of discovery. After a prolonged absence, these Eternals returned to Earth in Thor: The Deviants Saga #5 but chose not to reveal their reason for doing so.
