This sale is for a original Art Deco era table or desk art glass smoking set  made in France by Verlys.  Both the ashtray and lidded cigarette box are signed on the undersides. Both pieces feature a bas relief design of frosted  glass birds at the center and flowers around the rim. Both have "issues". The  ashtray has chips on two of the corners diagonal to one another (see listing  photos number 6 and 7). We also noticed some dings and  an area of roughness along the edge upon which the lid fits onto the cigarette  box (see listing photos 16 and 17) though we didn't find any issues with the  lid itself.
