Signed, first/first, slipcased special edition of Colson Whitehead's Pulitzer Prize-winning novel The Nickel Boys (Doubleday, 2019), still in shrink-wrap--never read.

"Whitehead's brilliant examination of America's history of violence is a stunning novel of impeccable language and startling insight." —Publishers Weekly, starred review

This is the special edition created by Powell's Indiespensables: A first edition, signed by Whitehead in a slipcase. It is Powell's no. 81 and includes an information booklet with author interview (not pictured). The shrink wrap is a little scuffed, but the book in its slipcase is fine. This has never been read.

It is ready to be gifted to someone special--maybe you!

Besides the Pulitzer Prize, The Nickel Boys also won the Kirkus Prize, the Alex Award, and the Orwell Prize for Political Fiction.  TIME magazine named it one of the 10 Best Fiction Books of the Decade.
