42Reg Black Watch Civil War of 1812 1 C Wooden Canteen Water Bottle

This type of canteen was issued by the US Army during the War of 1812. Today it is known as the "cheese box canteen" due to its shape. It is a replica of one on display at the Smithsonian Institute. A must for all War of 1812 collectors and reenactors. Comes with a 50½″ (as measured from top leather loop to the opposite loop) . It is not waterproof and should not be used as a canteen unless properly sealed inside.
