These shaker style peg rails are all handmade by me in my workshop in Norfolk. 

They are made to order. They are all made from re purposed and  up cycled timber which was destined for the scrap bin or the log burner (apart from the pegs which are new beech wood)  

The main body of the peg rail is made from pine so there may be the occasional knot in the wood. They are 100% unique and are left in an unfinished state to allow you to add whatever your chosen finish may be. 

They can be painted with a paint of your choice, stained, varnished, waxed or left plain, the choice is entirely down to you. Get creative with your ideas, let the kids add there own designs, do whatever you want.

The actual hanging pegs are not glued in as this makes finishing them so much easier. 

They are all pre drilled to accept the pegs perfectly, they just need a drop of glue to secure them in place.

I choose not to glue them in to allow the buyer to finish them off in their own unique way, this is much easier to do when not having to contend with the pegs fixed in position. It also cuts down on the amount of packaging required when shipping the items, which as also a good thing.

You could leave the pegs in their natural state as a contrast to the painted or stained body or paint them to match, again the choice is yours. 

The shaker peg rails are sanded to a very tactile smooth finish but not so smooth that the paint won't stick to them. All the sharp edges are removed and have a rounded over profile to make them look and feel much nicer.

They will have pre drilled and countersunk screw holes to allow easy fixing to whichever surface you want. (holes not shown on photos) I do not provide the screws and plugs as there are so many variations of wall finishes that it would be impossible to cover every option.

The peg rails vary in length depending upon the number of pegs chosen but will always be the same width and thickness. Width is 90mm and thickness is 20mm

The sizes are shown below but this is not a hard and fast rule.
