I offer you a prescaler type 8793.
The layout is from the well-known company Plessey.
It is a special prescaler produced for military equipment.
The system has been optimized to consume minimal current.
The prescaler draws about 6mA of power.
At the same time, there is a power supply stabilizer in the system, thanks to which the system works from 5V to 10V of the supply voltage.
The prescaler division (division factor) is 40 or 41 and is switchable.
max. the specified operating frequency is 225MHz (we checked - they work up to 250MHz).
The minimum frequency specified is 20MHz (I work from about 8MHz).
Sensitivity about 150 mV.
The prescaler has a universal output and, depending on the voltage applied to the output amplifier, it can work with TTL, CMOS or other circuits.
Specified operating temperature range -40º C +85º C.

NOTE: The offered prescaler is perfect for simple frequency meters with battery power supply, because ordinary divider systems consume significant current and require a separate power supply.
