On his new album "Before And After", Young has dared to create an eclectic collection of mysterious songs like a painter with a new color palette. To do this, Young selected personal favorite pieces from his repertoire to take a journey through his musical history as well as a solo journey to new places. His songs merge into a three-quarter-hour flow through an intimate listening experience. Produced by Lou Adler and Neil Young, mixed by Young and Niko Bolas, also known as The Volume Dealers, this album is unlike any other album he has released to date.

New versions of the songs themselves move and change seamlessly with mesmerizing clarity, from his earliest Buffalo Springfield appearance, "Burned," to the most recent "Don't Forget Love" (from 2021's Barn) to the previously unreleased Song "If You Got Love".
