World War I era Type-I Collar Disc/Disk. Please see both photos above for condition.  This was dug at Columbus New Mexico, site of the famous Pancho Villa raid on March 9, 1916, and the location of Camp Furlong, which served as headquarters for General John J. Pershing's "Punitive Expedition" into Mexico from 1916-1917.  Units of the 9th, 10th, 12th, and 13th Cavalry as well as the 24th and 25th Infantry were stationed at Columbus during this time.  This item came from the collection of an elderly man (now deceased) who lived in Columbus and used to metal detect there from the 1970s-1990s.  I will combine shipping on multiple purchases.  Thanks for looking!

I AM HAPPY TO COMBINE SHIPPING COSTS ON MULTIPLE PURCHASES.

THE ACTUAL ITEM IS MORE CLEAR AND CRISP IN DETAIL THAN THE IMAGES ABOVE SHOW.
