Description

Elma Mary Gove (1832-1921); Portrait painter and crayon artist, who exhibited at the National and Pennsylvania Academies and the Boston Athenaeum between 1849 and 1860. From 1849-1855 she was listed as living in New York City, in 1858 in Cincinnati, Ohio; in 1859 in Brooklyn, New York, and in 1860 in New York City.

Condition: Yellowing and foxing. A small rip / tear to the lower left corner (please see photos). Soiling. Various stains to the paper. Scruffy around the edges.
