An unusual antique chip carved wood box form mold. Butter or cheese possibly. Hand chip carved inner bottom with stylized bird & geometric patterns. Through tenon base into sides with wood pins, also through tenon for sides with pins. Measures 7 1/2" x 7 1/2" x 3 1/4" tall. In as is condition with insect holes, wear and some losses as pictured.
