Andranik Torosovich Ozanyan is one of the leaders of the Armenian national liberation movement of the late 19th - early 20th centuries, the national hero of the Armenian people. Also known as Commander Andranik, General Andranik and Andranik Pasha. On January 23, 1918, he was promoted to Major General of the Russian Army.
