👀ANTIQUE HAND CARVED TEAK HARDWOOD 2 BULL ELEPHANTS Asia Figurine Statue

This beautiful antique teak hardwood figurine showcases an impressive carving of two complete bull elephants, mounted on a sturdy oval teak base. This most likely would have been made in the early part of the 20th century.

The attention to detail is evident in the intricate designs and patterns etched onto the wood. The material used to create this beautiful ornament is of high quality and sourced probably from Thailand. There are the remains of a label on the base which I cannot read!!..looks to be in Asian script. The elephants are amazingly carved out of what looks like heart wood. This is shown by the rings, the same ring pattern are on both elephants so the the wood taken to make them, came from one piece originally. A great choice to show a naturalistic realism to elephant hide. It is well mounted on a beautiful oval teak stand with the edge routed to show definition. There are four little wooden feet to lift the stand from display site.

This collectable item is perfect for animal enthusiasts and collectors alike, with its focus on elephants as the main subject. The figurine is in good condition and has been well-preserved over the years. It would make a great addition to any collection of animal figurines or as a standalone decorative piece.
