This is a 1953 Pacific Stars And Stripes map of the Korean War along with the corresponding magazine that goes along with it. Inside the front cover of the magazine is the KEY for the map. I found the map folded inside the magazine. This has been tucked away in a box in a closet for many, many years. When unfolded the map is a large poster size and measures 34 1/2 inches by 24 1/2 inches.

The topographic map was published in 1953 by Pacific Stars And Stripes to provide a summary of the Korean War up to March 19 of that year.

Twenty-five different events in the history of the Korean War are numerically identified, with explanations along the left border. These include the capture of Pyongyang, the POW camp on Koje Island, MIG Alley, and arial attacks on Sui-ho dam.

Below that is shown the area along the 38th parallel. The border has flags of the United Nations and US military forces insignias. (See the key on inside cover of the magazine to identify these combat units).

The map is in good condition. The colors are bright and vivid! On the back of the map there are some areas that are repaired with masking tape where the paper had weakened along the fold lines. See photos.

Please take a close look at all of the photos to best see the condition.

The map will be folded back up for mailing and does include the magazine along with it.

Thank you for taking a look. I published as many photos as EBay would allow, but if you need more just message me and I’d be happy to send some.
