This listing is for a handcrafted bird ornament featuring delicate embroidery and beading.

Measuring 5” long by 5" high, this piece was handcrafted in 2022 using wool felt, embroidery floss and glass beads. It takes approximately 3 hours to do this fine work.

In Afghanistan, birds are at once a reminder of a more peaceful time and a source of music where the sounds of gunfire and mortars are more familiar than any melody.

Preserve your ornament for generations to come by using a soft, damp cloth or a vacuum attachment to remove dust and debris.  The ornament is best preserved when kept in dry areas out of direct sunlight to prevent damage or color fading.
