Look, we’re sure you see this same product for half the price but chances are it won’t be in a sealed JPG can. Gaultier was smart to seal his fragrances in a can. It’s just about the only way to prove they’re unused. Fragrances that aren’t sealed and don’t include the can are most likely testers. They’re readily available for bulk purchase and sellers scoop them up like whales scooping up plankton.  Not that testers aren’t the genuine product, but with this opaque bottle, it’s going to be impossible to determine just how many sprays have been dispensed. Only a fragrance in a sealed can assures it hasn’t been used.

† Can’t read perfume notes?

Neither can we. Top notes form the top layer of a fragrance – they’re the ones you detect immediately after first spraying a perfume. Top notes usually evaporate quickly, lingering for only the first five to fifteen minutes. Their main purpose is to give off an initial scent and then transition smoothly into the next part of the fragrance. As a result, top notes generally consist of lighter and smaller molecules. Next up are heart notes. As the name suggests, heart notes make up the “heart” of the fragrance. Their function is to retain some of the top notes’ aroma while also introducing new scents to deepen the experience. Heart notes also serve as a buffer for the base notes. Because they make up around 70 percent of the total scent, heart notes usually last longer than top notes. Heart notes appear as the top notes start to fade and remain evident for the full life of the fragrance. Finally, base notes form the foundation of the fragrance. They help boost the lighter notes while adding more depth and resonance. Since they form the perfume’s foundation, base notes are very rich, heavy and long-lasting. They kick in after about 30 minutes and work together with the heart notes to create the fragrance’s scent. Since base notes sink into your skin, their scent lingers the longest and can last for six hours or more.

Regarding International shipping:

Because perfumes are up to 70% alcohol and alcohol is highly flammable, all perfumes are considered dangerous goods when shipped by air to international destinations. Perfumes can indeed be sent by air, but require special packing, specific labeling and dangerous goods declarations. Fortunately, we’ve received training and certification for shipping dangerous goods and are able to send perfumes worldwide. Most of our international packages are shipped via UPS worldwide express and in approximately 5 days (after handling time). However, dangerous goods packages require special inspection by a trained dangerous goods team. The dangerous goods handling fee charged by UPS is $225 per package. We know, sounds made up. Feel free to verify this by calling the UPS Hazmat help line. When you reach them, ask the cost of the dangerous goods handling fee for a Hazmat Class 3 (flammable liquids) package. The dangerous goods handling fee doesn’t include the cost of shipping. Hence, packages going to international destinations will have very high shipping costs. Most sellers don’t have the training and certification to send dangerous goods internationally. Any seller telling you they can send perfume to an international location for $50 isn’t declaring it as a dangerous good and by doing so, they are committing a crime (if they use USPS, it's actually a felony). With today's technology, pretty much every package is x-rayed and a glass perfume bottle will light up the view screen. 95% of the time, that undeclared dangerous goods package won't make it out of the country. It will be returned to the seller, along with a visit from the FAA. Point being, we follow the IATA regulations with proper packing, labeling and declarations. This assures your package will be sent safely, will be sent legally and will actually arrive.

Note that all international deliveries will require a signature. Foreign buyers refusing to sign for an item and causing the item to be returned to seller will not be entitled to any refunds and will also be responsible for the cost of return shipping. Foreign buyers are responsible for paying all duties, tariffs & VATs imposed by their country when receiving an item. Foreign buyers who refuse to pay any duties, tariffs & VATs due at time of delivery and cause the item to be returned to seller will not be entitled to any refunds and will also be responsible for the cost of return shipping. Due to perfumes being dangerous goods, they are not returnable.
