RARE SPECTACULAR KENDAL & HYDE 1950s STYLE SADDLE LEATHER MACBOOK PRO BRIEFCASE BAG with Custom handle and Custom Strap R$1248

What I like about this unique find is as follows:

This Kendal & Hyde Saddle Briefcase Satchel is one that started from a Kickstarter Campaign. The company eventually closed it's doors in 2017. So there are only a limited number of these wonderful cases in circulation. I was fortunate and found this one and made a strap to match and also my "trademark" moose leather handle wrap. The case is truly a beauty and "built like a tank."

I found a company online called BestLeather and they had this to say about this Kickstarter case:

The team at BestLeather has the privilege of seeing lots and lots of leather products. Since we’re leather aficionados (aka leather nerds), we think of it as a major perk for being part of this team. But, even for us there are those times when we see a leather bag or another product and remark to anyone who’s willing to listen, “oh…they really got that one right.” Those are the words I uttered when I opened the email from Kendal & Hyde regarding their newest bag, the Classic Leather Satchel.

"This Kickstarter has generated some very interesting conversations in some of the leather groups we follow on Facebook. The overwhelming majority of those discussions have been very positive and supportive. However, there are always those who like to make comparisons or make unsupported claims of duplicating another design. I’m never a fan of those comparisons and complaints. I often find them unfounded and usually untrue. The cold hard truth is that there are only so many ways to create a satchel-styled bag. This version is in fact, very unique in several ways:

My comments:
I agree they did this one right! It appears in this day and age that making quality leather goods is not a money-making venture as most companies that do it right just cannot sustain competing with the newest synthetic cases being mass produced mostly in China but even in companies like Italy that used to make exquisite leather goods.

As one who specializes in Vintage Leather goods. This case is very nice quality and should look better with age; lasting a very long time even with daily use. If the buyer thinks they would like to use the bottom rings and wear it as a backpack; I could make some straps from Moose Hide for a cost of around 400 dollars. I would make them with top-quality hardware and I would make them 1.5"-2" wide for excellent comfort. After the sale, I would need to work on this so I would ship the bag and then the straps would come when I was able to finish them. For me personally, I see this bag much more as a shoulder or even cross-body bag. While I like the versatility of adding straps to a satchel for those who bicycle, I am fond of using a backpack/rucksack and not a converted briefcase/satchel as a backpack. The reason I mention it is that is the reason for the rings on the bottom to make this case into a backpack.

I also added a vintage leather luggage tag adding to its character.

The measurements in inches are approximately: 18W x 13H x7D or (45cm x 33cm x 18cm)

As shown in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden MacBook Pro 2019  with the measurements of 13.75" x 9.48" x Thickness 0.61"  It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure for your specific laptop.

As shown in the photos: This bag fits my mock-up wooden 13/14 inch laptop board with the measurements of 12.31" Wide x 8.71" Depth x 0.61" Thick.  It may fit a bit larger laptop so please contact me if you want me to measure it for your specific laptop.

This bag fits my iPad Pro 12.9 very nicely. Measurements of the 12.9 are in inches: 12.04 x 8.69 x .27 for your reference. No need to carry large rolling bags anymore. Now with our tech (tablets and small laptops) getting smaller, we can carry vintage-style bags instead of the "run-of-the-mill" bags being produced in the 21st century.

I have this listed as a Men's bag but any woman who appreciates rugged leather goods could make this work for that perfect rugged look.

This beautiful bag comes from a smoke-free home and Minnetonka Minnesota. If you live local please contact me if you're interested in local pick-up to save on shipping.
