Previous owner's name, Charles A. Allen, on the front endpaper is likely the noted naturalist Charles Andrew Allen after whom Allen’s Hummingbird was named.

Condition:

Very Good.

The covers are clean and bright with scuffing and angling of the spine. Small light crease to the corner of the back cover. The textblock is solid and square though a section of the page edges is not quite even. The hinge is split between pages 130 and 131. The pages are very clean and bright with a spot or smudge to only a few pages. Small chips at the corners of the title page. Old ink name dated 1911 to the front endpaper (likely the noted naturalist Charles Andrew Allen). No other writing or marking.
