Size with frame is 29 inches by 17.5 inches. Small nick in side of frame, see photos. This piece was acquired in 1987 and has been in storage for over 20 years. The glass is not UV resistant and the colors will fade if left in direct sunlight. Why so expensive you ask? Why so cheap is my rebuttal. 😉. You will never find another piece like this one that is as well preserved. 😎

Tapa, or Bark Cloth, is a nonwoven fabric. It is made from the inner bark of a tree by stripping off the bast, soaking it and then beating it to interlace the fibers and reduce thickness. The paints are applied by scratching or painting.
