Italeri 2820S 2820S-1:48 OH-13 Scout Helicopter Korea War, Building, Standing

The American Bell OH-13 Sioux is an icon of aviation history. The helicopter with the distinctive design was developed immediately after the Second World War and distributed to the US Army in the late 1940s. Main features of the OH-13 Sioux were the "bubble roof", the exposed rear boom (from welded pipe), the rigid blade landing frame and the balloon shaped fuel tanks. The one-rotor helicopter had a three-seater cabin configuration and could reach a top speed of 170 km/h. It was both robust and exceptionally reliable. During the Korean War, the OH-13 was used in many ways and in large quantities, including enemy observation, extended awareness and medical evacuation. Even at the beginning of the Vietnam War, the Sioux was still in use as an enlightenment helicopter.
Contains small parts that could be a choking hazard.
