A large antique glazed rustic terracotta bowl with handles, a pouring spout and thick brown glazed interior. Probably dating from the early to mid 20th century, it was sourced in south west France. These household bowls were very important in the kitchen, and used for anything from making bread to cooking regional dishes.  This one has obviously been used over a flame (see base), though we don't recommend it be used in this way now.  Overall in very good antique condition, especially the interior glaze. A couple of small chips on the rim, one on a handle which is much older than the other (both pictured).   Measures approx 33cm (13") diameter (36cm or 14" handle to handle) and 15cm (approx 6") high. Weighs approx 3.18kg (approx 7lb).
