• Genuine BMW Classic Sport Mechanical Chronograph !!! Super rare model, yet along in this condition: top condition, gently used and with a brand new genuine leather band. Fully and completely functioning, as it should. Made in the 1990's. Super rare velvet blue dial, simply superb. Rare medium sized case, impossible to find it nowadays. EXTREMELY RARE MODEL !!!
  • A light alloy case with a fixed top bezel that has a 60 minutes scale on it and low dome mineral crystal, will safeguard your precious timepiece for many years to come. The blue dial with the classical configuration of the two sub-dial counters (small second and 30 minutes chronograph's counter), silver printed markers for the minutes, silver printed Arabic numerals in the Breguet font style for the hours, date at 6 o'clock and a silver printed BMW roundel at 12 o'clock, will make this timepiece an eye catcher. Inside the case, functions the <<engine>>, a fine Russian made, hand winding mechanical movement, which incorporates no fewer than 23 Jewels and has a power reserve of 42 hours. A snap-on stainless steel back makes the watch water resistant to 3 ATM. It is secured on your wrist by a blue fine leather band that has a shark skin pattern on it, blue top stitching to match the dial and closes with a stainless steel buckle to match the case.
  • High-end mechanical hand winding movement, made in Russia, very robust and reliable.
  • The Poljot 3133 is a 23 jewel, cam controlled, chronograph, lever movement operating at 21,600 bph. It has a running second dial at the 9 o'clock position, a 30 minute counter sub-dial at 3 o'clock, and a sweep second counter mounted centrally along with the timekeeping minute and hour hands. A date display is provided at the 6 o'clock position. The chronograph functions are controlled through two buttons, one (at 2 o'clock) for starting and stopping the chronograph, one (at 4 o'clock) for resetting the second and minute counters. The cam prevents the action of the reset while the chronograph is running. The 3133 has a date ring and a date quick set mechanism, it can be used by turning back the hands to 23:00 and advancing them to midnight and back again to advance in days. The 3133 is based on the Swiss Valjoux 7734. Back in the seventies, the Russians purchased the tooling from the Swiss for the 7734, made a few modifications, and produced the 3133. (The Russians raised the jewel count from 17 to 23 and increased the bph (beats per hour) from 18000 to 21600 among other things.) The 3133 is a well regarded movement that is known for it's long power reserve per wind and relative ruggedness as mechanical chronographs go.

Water Resistance
....a never-ending source of misunderstandings often caused by the irresponsible advertising of certain competitors, who are usually the ones to refuse any responsibility when damage by water occurs.
Here are the facts in plain English:
1. Every known brand submits the watch to a 2-phase test in a chamber, where it has to withstand to pressure for the minimum length of time required by industrial standards. It may seem a paradox, but low pressure-resistance, say at 0.5 bar equivalent to 50 cm depth is more critical to achieve, because increasing pressure tends to compress the seals, thereby increasing the resistance; the second phase test conducted at 3 bar (30 m.) is confirmatory.
Because of a solid case-construction, the known brands watches will resist to 10 bar (100 m. or 300 ft) and we could confidently call it a «diver’s watch»
2. HOWEVER:
The water resistance of a wristwatch is constantly challenged by mechanical wear caused by bumps, shocks etc., rapid changes in temperature, caustic acids, chemicals, etc. and can therefore not be guaranteed as a permanent condition. I renounces to using inflationary «theoretical» claims; the decision to wear your valuable timepiece for swimming, diving or in the Sauna is yours. On a side-note: only very few specially trained and equipped divers reach depths of 100 m and wear professional computers to indicate the life-saving compression- and decompression data; at such depths, normal watches will just not do.

Thanks for looking and buying a great and unique item.  Have a great day !!!
