We are offering a postcard of Wiley & Russell M'f'g. Company, Patent Screw Cutting Machinery and Tools [Greenfield, Massachusetts] dated January 5, 1885.  Postcard has a 1 cent postage stamp printed on the card and a Greenfield postmark.  The postcard is to D. E. Whiton, West Stafford, Connecticut - "If we are not mistaken - chucks were promised us on the first of last week - and are not yet at hand.  Please advise".  [D. E. Whiton Machine Co. were the dominant manufacturers of the lathe and milling machine chuck, which was an important device in a lathe machine used for holding and rotating a piece of work while performing a lathe operation.]  **CONDITION** - Excellent, there are two punch holes at the top.  See images.
