An interesting piece of WW2 radio equipmentthat has survived in a clean and complete condition in the care of a dedicated radio collector from the Midlands for decades. I have been fortunate enough to acquire many fascinating radios from his collection in order to find them new homes.

The last owner was a keen radio user as well as a collector, and many of his machines were fit for use, whether in original or mechanically restored condition. Unfortunately he left no information as to the status of each machine, whether working, partially working or in need of service or repair. I am not equipped with the knowledge or additional equipment such as the correct power supplies, headphones or antenna for testing these machines and so they must be offered as projects - I hope the photos will allow enthusiasts and experts to make a good assessment of their potential.

As you can see, the cosmetic condition is very good and the paint finish on the front panel is original. More importantly the chassis looks very smart and I can’t see any obvious damage or missing parts, and no corrosion, decayed wiring insulation or heavy soiling. Valves are present. It may well have been serviced, updated or repaired either by military engineers during service or by others over the years. It has been stored well in dry and warm conditions for many decades.

I hope another collector will give this classic and historic machine a good home and hopefully be able bring it back into regular service. Please contact me should you experience any problems or disappointment with the sale and I will always be around to help promptly.
